           This is Felix Breden, my students and I are interested in
population genetics and the evolution of social behavior.
Current projects:
Trinidad guppy - effect of predation on female preference, including
testing for genetic correlation between attractive male character and
female preference, and population phylogeny of guppy using PCR and DNA
sequencing.
Southwestern Cornborer - population differentiation and adaptation of
this tropical pest to temperate corn populations.
Conservation genetics of Oven birds in forest fragments in Northern
Missouri - Sequencing DNA of birds from small vs. large populations.
Adaptation to heavy metals and low acid in green sunfish in stripmines
in Missouri.
