Time used to produce a Canadian version of its magazine (ie they 
changed more than just the advertising which is what they do now).  
Macleans screamed bloody murder and the government made Time stop.  
Thus Time doesn't really compete "head-to-head" with Macleans, at 
least not any more.  Now Macleans has no competition and we have only 
one major (mediocre) national news magazine.  Our loss is Maclean-Hunter's
financial gain.  Not that I'm a big fan of Time either ...
