I don't understand all the terms, but the basic idea seems at least interesting. Coming out of a 4-year AI project gives it a lot of credibitity. In terms of this taxonomy, where would the system of evolution fit in? It's at least a 2, since it does trial and error in a big way. I'm not sure it goes any higher, because it doesn't do any forward planning. But on the other hand, it has in the past modified its own memory structure, so it might qualify as a 4. Any ideas? M. B.
