The man page indicates that invoking the BATCH command will wait to start a job "until system load permits". Exactly what does this mean? The BATCH(1) command is implemented via a shell script calling AT(1) with a special option. So it looks like things are run via CRON anyway. If the statement means that a specified value of the system load figures are checked, what are the defaults? can you change the defaults easily? Thanks... Mike Parker Manager, Systems Administration
