Message-ID: <1570@ora.UUCP> Date: 14 Jun 89 10:18:37 GMT Distribution: na Organization: O'Reilly & Associates, Inc., Newton, MA Lines: 26 We're considering writing a Nutshell Handbook on Emacs (sort of like our Learning the vi Editor book, for those of you who have seen it.) Here are some questions I have: 1) What would you like to see in such a book? 2) What do you see as the most difficult part(s) of learning emacs? 3) Which implementation of emacs should be covered in the book, and why? Do you think one book could cover several of the most popular versions? 4) Should we even bother? Are the books and manuals out there already sufficient? What's the best one you've seen so far? Please reply directly to me. If the response merits it, I'll post a follow-up. Thanks Thanks Thanks. -peter ~v -- Peter Mui: (617) 354-5800 O'Reilly & Associates, Inc. 90 Sherman Street, Cambridge, MA 02140 UUCP: uunet!ora!peter ARPA: peter@ora.uu.net
