Keywords: ftp-find-file Message-ID: <8379@killer.DALLAS.TX.US> Date: 16 Jun 89 04:24:27 GMT Reply-To: cantrell@killer.DALLAS.TX.US (Keith Cantrell) Followup-To: gnu.emacs Organization: The Unix(R) Connection BBS, Dallas, Tx Lines: 26 I was using the ftp-find-file for the first time and noticed a few problems. First of all, when it got the file it did not bother to swith to the buffer that it put in. Well that was not too much of a problem, I just quickly switch to it, only to find that the buffer was put into read-only mode. No problem again, a quick ^x ^q and the buffer became editable. Well after editing the file I was happy to find that when I did the normal ^x ^s the file was ftp back to it's location, but the buffer was stil marked as modified. I know all these problem are minor, but before I go and try and fix them I was wondering if somebody else has already beating me to the punch. If so, will you please send me a copy of your ftp.el. The version of Gnuemacs is 18.54 modified for the Apollo.
