I am looking for software to "blit" bitmap images to the screen
and set color look-up table values for VGA and EGA.  I have some
pretty sophisticated color graphics hardware and software, but once I've
selected the right set of colors and rendered the image in the right
spatial and color resolution for VGA, say (320 x 200 x 256 colrs, e.g.)
All I need to do is get something that will install my colormap
and blit my bits to the screen (pixels, that is).

Help?
