I'm a newcomer of usenet.  I want to know more about the types of
use networks(like uucp,uunet...etc), gateways available on this usenet.
Could anyone please suggest some information or readings about the
present network?

I want to know how many networks exist?  How they are linked together?
I heard about arpa, janet, uucp many times but don't know their difference.
I try to look up a LAN and data communication textbook but couldn't find
information about them.
