You just grab an existing overlay file, preferably one that is close to what you need, and you make your changes. Admittedly, I have usually been making rather simple changes -- supporting a different UART chip, adding a new subcommand to SET, and so on. Perhaps there are some other things one could do with full documentation. Also, I would be surprised if there is no documentation floating around for MEX114 -- it seems to me that long ago I saw such a file. But not having needed it, I do not have a copy. -- Jay
