It will leave windows up even if the host has been down for days. It is up to the user to decide when enough is enough. If your windows are going away, the host is timing them out, probably because you are running a screen-saver. Many screen-savers, especially popular are early versions of Pyro!, take away all background processing while they are active. After about five minutes of NCSA Telnet being silenced by the screen-saver, the host times you out. Later versions of Pyro! have been known to work. I use Moire. Tim Krauskopf NCSA
