But, then, that was a long time ago and if history is any guide some key implementations will have ignored that precept and won't interoperate it you try to apply it.... cheers, map [*] At least one other attendee of the relevant meeting told me five or six years later that it was my design intent; even if it was (and I'm inclined to accept it), though, presumably nobody these days cares much about design/ designer intentions, so pay it no more mind than is customary. -------
