He wants something like the 2500UX that he can run UN*X on. He wonders if he would be better off to just buy a stock 2500 from Commodore, or if there is better price/performance in buying a 2000 and equipping it with 3rd party hardware? Could someone please enlighten me (us) on what some good alternatives are to the 2500? Also, could you please let me know what are the restrictions with Commodore and other hardware (e.g. the 2090a not working in overscan). Finally, does anyone know of a BSD UN*X port on the Amiga. My friend (and I also) love UN*X but think that System V is a braindead attempt at best.
