I would MUCH rather pay the $1.25 for real SONY DS/DD disks >which have NEVER gone bad on me. I've had at least one disk of every type >I've tried go bad EXCEPT SONY DS/DD disks... YIKES! I just got a batch of 50 from MEI. I thought they had cleaned up their act. About 3 years ago I had similar failure rates from a batch of 5 1/4's I got from them. I hope I'm luckier this time. On a related subject I about decided that some failure rate is inevitable. I've bought diskettes from Maxell, Bonus, Disk World, Direct Micro and MEI. So far only Bonus and MEI hav e perfect records. That's rather distorted though since I only have 11 Bonus disks and I've only had the MEIs for about a week. Of the ones i have a lot of Direct Micro is about the best. 1 Failure out of 100 disks.
