Runs just like a charm on my overscan PAL workbench screen (690x274x2). The x2 is the deciding factor, thats the bitplanes. The only modes the 2090 drastically goes down from it's otherwise outstanding performance is in 4 bitplanes hi-res (ie.640x200/256 or 640x400/512) plus overscan. The current AMIX doesn't use 4 bitplane screens as default (although it probably could). And if your talking Amiga and Unix TODAY, it's an A2500. Full Stop. :-) Currently AMIX only supports the A2620/A2630 and those units only know how to handle the 209xx HD controllers (to boot Unix...). These things might change, but not within the next 6 months. And I dunno if a BSD UN*X will be ported, or if by the time this would happen the AT&T stuff has come close to it. :-) Regards, - -- _ _ / / | \ \ aka Christian Balzer - The Software Brewery - < < |-< > EMail: ...!decwrl!frambo.dec.com!CB -OR- CB@frambo.dec.com \ \_ |_/ / E-Net: FRAMBO::BALZER | Home-Phone: +49 6150 4151 (CET!) ------------ PMail: Im Wingertsberg 45, D-6108 Weiterstadt, F.R.G.
