Chris,

I had an EZRAM II, and I also had this unbearable problem with my
monochrome monitor.  It worked fine w/o the upgrade, but when I
installed it, there were these black "line segments" about 10 pixels
long and 1 pixel high ALL OVER THE SCREEN.  If this is what you are
experiencing, see if replacing the shifter chip cleans it up.  It did
it for me.
