It will encrypt file and / or folders (HFS sensitive) using either DES or a block crypt (your choice). It also can make the encrypted file invisible. The only trace of the files that I have been able to see is: If you have a folder that APPEARS empty, you can check the window bar and (I believe) it will say "21 items" (whatever's appropriate, etc.) which would tip you off that there IS something there. But the software implementation of DES is good, as far as I know. God help you if you forget the "key", Super Mac won't! Nor should they in my opinion... write it down elsewhere, make it something arcane or whatever, but if you "forget" the key and can't retrieve your files, then you purchased GOOD software! If phone support gave you the "trap door" password, what makes you think they wouldn't give it to a polite albeit malicious user? BTW: When I say "you" I don't necessary mean YOU! Lemme know what you come up with. Best Regards, Pete Ferris pff@thumper.bellcore.com P.S.: Sorry this is rather bizzare! I had to kill the letter once, and then use the dead.letter - long story! And to add insult to injury, the mailer rejected my efforts to e-mail this to you (see header stuff). Mother told me there would be days like this!
