Well, I sure was right.  I did stir up some emotions in a few people.  I did
nothing more than what the person who originated the thought, just put 2 and
3 together and came up with 10.  I've received some flaming mail, and they
made the same mistake that a lot of other people did with the original
posting about the rumor -- they believed that what was said was entirely
serious.

sheesh, ya say something, and it's taken totally out of context...

I extend apologies to anyone and everyone that I may have offended at Apple
Computer.  My intention was to point out that, although what the original
rumor posting surmised was possible, it was most certinly not probable.
That posting (as one of the authors of the mail I received pointed out)
should have had one huge ;-) next to it.  But unfortunately it didn't.

My apologies are also extended to anyone beyond Apple Computer who may have,
in any way, taken my comments to heart and/or been offended.
