It's very frustrating to be away from the computer for a couple of days, come back, and find "274 unread messages." Those of us who like to stay well-informed about Macintosh affairs are simply forced to sacrifice information, for lack of time to read it. As far as sub-groups, how about: comp.sys.mac.software (articles about programs, bugs, bombs, compatibility, "when will) (it be out" and "how do I do that" questions, etc.... ) comp.sys.mac.hardware (articles about hard disks, chips, internal drives, AppleTalk ) (hookups, twitching displays, etc... ) comp.sys.mac.general (everything else, including griping about Apple's policies, ) (stuff for sale, viruses, marketing issues, etc... ) I don't really think there's enough stuff "for sale" on comp.sys.mac to warrant a separate newsgroup, though. --- Yours for less included text, Ron Morgan osmigo@emx.utexas.edu ---
