Yeah, this is the case. Not just Word, but Microsoft-wide. They have decided that they are going, once again, to do it THEIR way, not Apple's, not the customers', or anybody else's way. I am slowly disconnecting my personal operation from all Microsoft applications. It is amusing to note that if you install the newly-renumbered fonts from Adobe, then Word's formula (equation) feature breaks. This is because they are looking for a hard-numbered Symbol font.
