The University was quite slow in obtaining the site license, and the Department dragged its heels for another month before it shelled out the $100 for the box of disks. My initial impression is quite favorable. It appears to be faster that MacTeX. In addition, it runs on a 1M machine w/o MultiFinder. (It claims to be MultiFinder compatible, on a 2M machine. I haven't tested this yet.) The deal included LaTeX and AMSTeX, but I do not see any mention of BibTeX. (We only have a ~100 page manual describing the installation of TeXtures.) Do you know of a BibTeX for the Mac? How does it fit into the TeXtures concept? (I would expect to find a BibTeX selection in the Typeset menu.) Please feel free to e-mail your responses to me. I will summarize to the b-board assuming I receive sufficient interest. Thanks in advance, Doug Meade dm2w@andrew.cmu.edu
