Yes, I am using a Telebit 2500.  It's connected to /dev/ttya, host-modem
speed locked at 19200.  It is set up only for dialing out, not for dialing
in (data transfer is bidirectional, of course).  In UUCP, it's declared
"DIR", and all the dialing (and minor setup) done through chat scripts.  No
problems to report.
