well apparently sun has decided that it was premature to announce end of
life on the HM monitor.  the users complained and it appears that sun may
have listened.  i am also encouraged by the fact that the 4/60 digital
video card will support the M and the HM monitors (at least according to
the manual).  now if sun would just make all the manuals small and
wire/spiral bound.
