We don't have the SUNOS4.0.1 installed because last time we did it screwed up our tape drive. Our solution now is to reboot the machine, which clears up the problem, but is obviously a pain. I realize with such scant information it would be hard to diagnose this problem, but we haven't figured out what circumstances cause it yet.
