I am trying to figure out how to tell a Linotronic L300 to product a 14 inch long image. I have written the Postscript code and tested it on my Qume ScripTEN. The Qume does legal if you put legal size paper in the tray. The postscript reference manual indicates that there is a command "legal" that will do the trick but I tried it and the L300 punted it. Does it have to be inside a statusdict entry? More to the point, do any of you know how to do it? It can't be that tough. I would think that you could do a setframesize or something like that, but I'm not sure. It would be nice if whatever the solution is was generic so that it would work on all postscript printers, so I can test it. I would really appreciate any help you could offer. If there is a more appropriate newsgroup, I would also like to know about that. If there is comp.postscript or comp.sys.linotronic or something like that, I don't get them here anyway.
