Please help! My buget is $500 and the features I wanted are: 1. TeX campatible (but I am not sure what this implies. Any clarifications will be appreciated.) One thing I am concerned is the resolution. It is said that 300 points per inch is the least. 2. Printing speed: I was told that some TeX compatible printer takes 20 minutes to print ONE TeX'ed page. I would like to have one that prints a TeX'ed page within a minute. 3. Paper loading: automatic loading, allowing single page loading (as versus to printer-paper whose pages are head-tail linked together.) 4. Availability of the TeX driver program for the printer and its quality such as number of fonts, sizes of characters in each font, etc.. 5. Letter quality in different fonts 6. Reliable and easy to use and maintain. 7. Anything else I have not thought about but should to be concerned. I need to know any printers that fall into the above categary and its price (including that for the driver). Preferably, I would like to know where and how to get it too. Please reply via e-mail and a summary will be posted if there are enough interests. Thanks in advance. Mingqi (deng@shire.cs.psu.edu, deng@psuvaxs.bitnet, deng@psuvaxs.uucp)
