I am working with Sun a.out format which is derived from 4.1BSD a.out 
format As far as I can tell just the a_machine field was added to struct
exec (defined in /usr/include/a.out or /usr/include/sys/exec.h).  I am
having difficulty finding out the size of the string table.  Any suggestions?
