(i.e. telnetd) One to read the packet type byte, and the other to read the data. Question: What happens if the second read is interrupted with a signal? Does the next read return the packet type byte again, or the data portion of that packet? Is this well defined? Please e-mail responses. If anyone is interested, I'll forward the mail I get. ...
