Message-ID: <1051@fcs280s.ncifcrf.gov> Date: 22 Jun 89 20:25:23 GMT Reply-To: kml@ncifcrf.gov (Kevin Lahey) Organization: NCI Supercomputer Center, Frederick, MD Lines: 26 I have only recently managed to find myself a Sun running NeWS. NeWS is *great*! It seems to be the most elegent, beautifully designed windowing system around. However, I had a few questions: Does everybody just hack the files in NeWS/lib so that init.ps includes .user.ps instead of just user.ps? I really don't want to have *one more* file in my home directory. Where can I find an archive of interesting NeWS programs? I managed to pick the Grasshopper psterm out of comp.sources.unix archives, but I'd like to have more! Any ftp sites? I have heard of a NeWS archive site at sun.com, but does it allow anonymous ftp? The regular NeWS manual seems a bit obtuse. Are there any better manuals? I guess I should just dive in... Well, thanks in advance for any answers you can give me, Kevin -- Kevin Lahey kml@fcs280s.ncifcrf.gov NCI Supercomputer Center, Frederick, Maryland kml@mosquito.cis.ufl.edu UF CIS Department, Gainesville, Florida Whenever you find that you are on the side of the majority, it is time to reform. -- Mark Twain
