Baumgarten) Organization: DP&W, New York, NY Lines: 20 We've had some difficulty getting "texx" (the dvi file previewer) to work correctly. It compiles and runs fine, puts up an appropriately sized window, but doesn't display anything in it (although it takes the correct amount of time to compose the page -- i.e., the watch cursor is displayed for 10-15 seconds). It's almost as if it were using a white foreground on a white background when painting the text. We have no problems running "texsun", which is the Sunview version of the same program. Well, one problem, which is that no one wants to run Sunview just to preview their dvi files... Anyway, we're running X11R3 right off the distribution tape on Sun 4's running SunOS 4.0.1 (B&W monitors). Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. -- Steve Baumgarten | "New York... when civilization falls apart, Davis Polk & Wardwell | remember, we were way ahead of you." cmcl2!esquire!sbb | esquire!sbb@cmcl2.nyu.edu | - David Letterman
