Lines: 11 I dont know if this has been discussed before, but... I have a program that is run on machine a where a user is logged in, but not by the user (from inetd). I would like this program to open a window on the users DISPLAY if (s)he has one set. Is there any accepted way to get this information. I can use ps -e to get the enviroment, but there must be a easier way. Assume all I have to start with is a username and the tty (s)he is on. /Bob... {...}!rutgers!mende mende@aramis.rutgers.edu mende@zodiac.bitnet --
