This usually happens after either iconifying or deiconifying a window (with f.iconify bound to either a mouse button or a title bar gadget), and it goes away as soon as a mouse button is pressed on the root window. It is the sort of thing I usually notice after wondering for a while why my make is going so slow... I am about to tear into the code and try to fix this one myself, but I thought I would ask first and see if anybody has already done it. Is there anybody out there who can save me some work? Oh, yeah...the details: X11.3, Sun 3 and 4, gcc. Thanks, Jonathan Corbet National Center for Atmospheric Research, Field Observing Facility corbet@stout.ucar.edu
