I think that many who might otherwise be exceptional contributors to
such a groups as I propose would shy away from wading through the
flotsam of talk.religion.newage.  

This group would obviously have many cross-postings and as such be a
kind of filter for others.

I have had some nasty mail too, and perhaps this will allow for more
eloquent discussion.
