Now, the theory behind this is that some human being is going to be reading the articles to determine the worth of them for IM distribution. Should they get to your Copywrite notice and *ignore* it, they're breaking the law. All this is going to get fuzzy if articles are followed up without the notice, but I'm sure you could still argue that the IM folks would be responsible for watching for this.
