C News with both patches installed on a Sun-2/120, SunOS 3.4.

After installation (problems w/ doit.bin solved by installing as root),
I copied the 2.11 active file over, ran mkhistory, did an
expire, then ran upact. So far, no problem.

However, when news started arriving, C News decided that every article
that came in was a duplicate and trashed it. Result: no news. (I sampled
the history file for some of the "dup" articles. None of them were in it.)

Any suggestions where I might start looking for the problem?
