Why should anyone object if they make a profit.  The point is that they do
not do anything to prevent you from using alternate services if a suitable
one exists, especially something antisocial like refusing to pass mail
originating from non-subscribers.

It does seem like there should be some commercial or government sites that
have excess satellite bandwidth that could be used to pass news during the
off hours.  Has anyone looked into that possibility?
