Lines: 49 Technical Support Position Available Due to continued and growing customer sales, we have a need for another technical support person. We are looking for a person with a mix of interper sonal skills and technical know-how. Our growth can provide you with the potential for further advancement of your career, in the areas of management and programming. We want someone who enjoys helping people solve problems. Most contact with our customers will be via telephone, but we also make contact with faxes, electronic mail, and through CompuServe and Bix. We also expect our technical staff to go to trade shows, so we are looking for people who can answer technical questions face-to-face. On the technical side, we would like you to have a working knowledge of UNIX utilities, some knowledge of common MS-DOS or OS/2 applications, an understanding of systems programming, and a general problem solving nature. While much of the material can be learned on the job, we require that you have the right background to make this training relatively straight-forward. We expect all our staff to have good verbal and written skills. For technical support, we are looking for abilities in organization, as well as the ablility to talk to people in a wide range of technical expertise. You should be able to listen to callers, and quickly find their concerns This position reports to the Manager of Technical Support, and to the Product Development Manager. It is a technical staff position, but it also includes some interaction to the marketing and sales department. About Mortice Kern Systems Inc. Mortice Kern Systems is a growing Canadian company.
