It's OK with 8 bit, No Parity but doesn't like 7bit Even Parity at all. Try using a different line setting (it's easy on the AT side but I don't know what happens on the PDP11 serial port driver). If instead of PROCOMM use the KERMIT 2.30 program interactively and the PDP11 Kermit in SERVER or interactive mode, you may still get good results.
