This seems like a real bargain, has anyone had experience with it. Our application is only in origination mode, with a dumb terminal, so the exact extent of Hayes compatibility is not a great issue. They say is is "AT" compatible. The real issue is how well the modem performs once a connection is made. For referenece we have used Everex 24E+ modems for the same kind of application. Most of the criticisms in this group of the modem match reaonsably well my own impression of the Everex. However, it is adequate the way we use it, and at $189 the problems are bearable. The question here, is will a $129 MICOM server equally well at a $60 saving. -- Ken Mandelberg | km@mathcs.emory.edu PREFERRED Emory University | {decvax, gatech}!emory!km UUCP Dept of Math and CS | km@emory.bitnet NON-DOMAIN BITNET Atlanta, GA 30322 | Phone: (404) 727-7963
