I imagine that it also required one to have a resonable display card -- a Hercules card, more than likely. I'd be surprised if someone has *not* gotten MacWrite or a similar WYSIWYG word processor to be able to deal with Cyrillic (or any other eight-bit left-to-right character set, for that matter).
