Note that there is a LOT more to USENIX than the formal presentations. In fact, apart from selected talks such as Rob Pike's, most of my time at USENIX is spent talking with exhibitors, in informal discussions with software developers ("old friends", mostly), and at BOF sessions. In most cases the conference proceedings can be read in place of the presentations.
