"the USER command has been ditched (it's now redundant)" The USER command should not be ditched, for lots of reasons: -- -- Losing it invalidates some shell scripts; -- Novices using (old!) "how to use CP/M" books will become confused; -- And sometimes you want to change the user number, but don't know (or care) what disk you're on.
