We are looking for an archive system which will manage the migration of user
directories and sub-directories to and from tape. Has anybody seen such a
beast?

Ideally it would allow users to specify files and directories which may be
archived, the actual archiving would be done in one lump by an
operator. Retrieval would be done similarly.

Working well in a multi-machine environment would be a bonus.

I thought I should check with the net before starting to write such a system.
