  The reason I posted this was to draw feedback so I could see where the c.s.a
  readers stand on this kind of thing.

  All the replies I have received E-Mail indicate that this is abuse while the
  public postings indicate that its not abuse because it warned of a commercial
  announcment in the header and that it was only posted once.

  So based on the above it seems that a one time posting with proper subject
  line is not abuse. This sounds fair to me.
