I remember hearing about some problems with the 1.3 PIPE: device and ARP 1.3.
Sorry to waste Net bandwidth if this has already been discussed, but I don't
recall this specific case being mentioned previously.  This is my dilemma:
I wrote an AREXX program which extracts the subject lines from comp.sys.amiga
messages and outputs them to a PIPE:.  A second process (launched from the same
AREXX program) is running a 'sort' command, using the PIPE: file as its input.
This works fine with the Commodore 1.3 'sort' command, but when I use the ARP
'sort' I get an 'error - can't open pipe:<filename>' message.  It also seems to
lock up the pipe: device after this.

For now, I'm back to the original 'sort' command, and things are working fine.
I'd like to use the ARP command if possible.  Any help would be appreciated!
