Keywords: DM pad/stty Message-ID: <694@idacom.UUCP> Date: 26 Jun 89 00:48:53 GMT Organization: IDACOM Electronics Ltd., Edmonton, Alta. Lines: 16 According to the man page for 'stty' "In a Display Manager pad, only the echo (-echo) and raw (-raw or cooked) options are immediately effective." I want to disable echo in the input window of a DM pad so passwords can be entered in a shell script. (Just like /com/login). However, stty does not work as described above under SR9.7. Is there a command that I can use to make the input 'go away' for awhile; or must I write a program to do it? -- Danny Wilson IDACOM Electronics danny@idacom.uucp Edmonton, Alberta alberta!idacom!danny C A N A D A
