It can do relational reporting from up to 11 database and/or spreadsheet files. It can also print paragraphs from word processor files. This is a great product, packed with all of the reporting functions AppleWorks left out. It's ideal for teachers keeping assignments, student gradebooks, and letters to parents in AppleWorks -- using ReportWriter will let you generate complete attendance records, report cards, letters to parents, etc. that are more detailed than the limited reports you can produce with AppleWorks alone. Businesses can use it for orders, inventory, invoices, billing, and more. With this program you can have a report calculate figures and have those figures posted into a database or spreadsheet file, for automatic updating of related files -- values in an inventory file could be subtracted from when a customer order or invoice report is produced, for example.
