Summary: Answers needed Keywords: baud rate limitations Message-ID: <14057@swan.ulowell.edu> Date: 3 Jul 89 17:18:23 GMT Reply-To: stpierre@swan.ulowell.edu (Pete St Pierre) Followup-To: comp.sys.dec Organization: University of Lowell, Computer Science Dept. Lines: 14 We have a research project here that requires a workstation (currently a Sun 3/50) to write to a serial<->midi interface at 38.4Kb. The Sun handles this fine, but in moving to a DS3100 platform, we can't get speeds above 9.6Kb. The header files support 19.2Kb and 38.4Kb, but it seems the DS3100 hardware doesn't. My questions are: Is this a known hardware limitation? Are there any other DEC workstations that support >= 19.2Kb? Thanks... ...Pete -- Bob (Pete) St.Pierre University of Lowell Systems Manager 1 University Ave stpierre@ulowell.edu Lowell, Mass 01854 postmaster@ulowell.edu (508) 452-5000 x2976
