I fear the time has come to part with another old friend. I moved out of my tiny little basement hobbit hole of the past many years, sold my 1969 BMW 2002 after 200,000 miles and now my trusty old Rainbow 100 (version 1.01.11a, it says upon bootup) sits forlorn and unused since my wife brought home her shiny new Mac II... It's the basic original, purchased in early 83, performed flawlessly since then albeit only as a remote terminal and platform for some assembler hacking. Hard to imagine in this day and age but it's got: 64k RAM, no hard disk, no graphics card, just the basic CPU, monitor, keyboard and cables. Now, as you all know, it's a fine machine from a stupid corporation. I would give it away to some needy nonprofit 'cept for the nonstandard architecture. I'm not interested in haggling and really don't have a clue about the true value of this bundle but maybe you folks could clue me in. Anybody out there willing to give this fine old nag a good home? What would be a fair and honest price? sincerely, robin
