With the Option Board out of the circuit I can read and write 360s and 1.2s, but when I put the board between the controller and drive I can only read 360s. The manual made an obscure remark that the option board can't read and write 1.2s, which I had interpreted as meaning I couldn't use the transition copier on 1.2s (which is fine, since I haven't got any copy- protected 1.2s I want to back up...). Looks like it meant the option board just flat blocks reading and writing 1.2s under all circumstances. Has anyone successfully read and written 1.2s with the option board in the circuit? Anyone know a more elegant fix than just leaving the option board disconnected except when I want to back up 360s?
