I hope... I have an XT clone which has worked perfectly for several years. It has a 5.25" floppy A drive, a 3.5" floppy B drive, a Seagate ST-238R 32MB C drive, and the usual complement of 640K of memory, 2 COM ports, one PRN port, etc. Recently, I decided to add the Everex "Excel Floppy Tape" drive. This is a 1/2 height internal tape drive which can write up to 40MB. I have a B.S. in Computer Science from M.I.T., and I C*A*N*N*O*T figure out how to get this *&%$@+ tape drive set up. I spent $169 on the drive, and another $99 on the "QUOTE UNIVERSAL UNQUOTE" floppy disk & tape controller from Accelerated Computer Technology. I have tried literally every combintation of DIP switches, cables, and configurations possible. IC*A*N*N*O*T get this tape drive to do A*N*Y*T*H*I*N*G. Don't you hate it when you spend hundreds of dollars and end up with nonfunctional shit? Please, someone, give me a hint how to set this thing up!
